Not a fan of bozaks contract. He makes close to what brassard makes and would be our 3C. Need a kid like miller or Hayes on a cheap ELC holding that spot down. |

Good blog Jan.
Bozak makes no sense, unless Hayes would move to a wing. Personally I like having Brassard Stepan and Hayes at center. Hayes has been the biggest surprise and has huge potential. Rangers would also be adding more salary, and like you pointed out Jan, makes no sense from Toronto's perspective. Don't like it at all, changes the team to much even if this was a legitimate trade proposal.
And call me crazy, but I see Hayes as a really good center in a couple years. Like a #1 center kind of good. |

And i love the way both of them have been playing. But if i were to move anyone for bozo, which i wouldnt, it would be hags |

Yea I hear you. I just think for cap reasons, it would need to be a guy making close to 4M or 5M. Hags is gonna get a raise but not 4M.
I think also that Toronto has been trying to acquire more centers so idk if bozak is even attainable for a winger. |

Ok, wasn't sure if there was a specific issue or question about it. Thanks. |

Totally agree, theyd want a center back. I dont like the idea at all i was just putting up a viable solution that im not very fond of. Just sayin it if it had to happen. Id love to see someone like eric fehr on our team

AV has already said he's not moving Hayes to the wing and the other 3 aren't moving, unless he changes his mind I think we need to change our focus to the 3rd pair and Sekera, that's where I think Sather is looking at the deadline or before |

Someone mentioned him earlier and I think his salary is more friendly and that's Hanzal, good on draws and a big body but again that's only if AV changes his mind on Hayes, plus he's so hot right now, Hanzal |

If we are going to start talking who to trade, I would have to say Hags. It's really hard to think about losing his speed especially on the PK but Zucc just offers so much more to his game. We have been waiting for hags to develop into something that quite frankly hasn't developed into. Zucc may be having a down year but it isnt his overall game. I love watching what he can do with the puck. |

Yeah, I could see that, as Sekera would probably only be around for the playoffs, but would make the back end incredibly deep. I also wouldn't be against a faceoff specialist who could play wing that would be a cheap rental. Faceoffs could be huge come playoff time. |

thats what ive been saying. Hags has gotten to the point where hes fast for no reason. Bad in the corners, not very smart with the puck(almost scared to hold it), and a weak, weak, weak shot

Is hanzal a pending ufa? Or is that Vermette? I think either would be good deadline acquisitions but if the long term plan is for Hayes to stay at center, only way he is going to get better at face offs is by taking them and failing. Obviously in the playoffs we can't afford that luxury but hats why we should go after Vermette who is the rental I believe. |
